Precision Interface Electronics, Inc. (PIE) was founded in September 1989 by Bill Summers, a 25-year veteran of the 12-Volt industry. At that time, there were only a couple of companies producing High End RCA Cables and power distribution accessories. A need in the market for High End Car Audio Accessories at reasonable prices was a trigger to establish the company whose mission has always been to deliver the highest quality parts through innovative design and state of the art manufacturing.
Along with the technological evolution, the variety of PIE products has
expanded as well. Today the company carries 10 product lines leading the industry in Digital Protocol Interfaces and Auxiliaries for the Plug and Play installation of many portable audio devices such as, iPods and other Music Players, Satellite Tuners, Navigation units, DVD Players, Game Consoles, and Aftermarket CD Changers.
PIE headquarters are located in Chatsworth, CA. That is where all the
products are designed and developed by some of the top audio and digital engineers in the world. Production takes place overseas, in China, in an ISO-9002 certified factory. This way, the company can ensure that their products are of the highest quality and integrity, yet competitively priced.
